Beginning on Wednesday, March 25, students can attend free, live Advanced Placement (AP) review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country.
Effective Monday, March 18, all schools are closed in order to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in our state. The first possible weekday back will be April 27. During this time, the Leota Middle School office staff are operating on intermittent office hours and working remotely. Please expect a response to phone calls and/or emails within two business days.
While schools are closed during this regional health challenge, we are offering free meals for all children 18 and younger.
To support families during this challenging time amidst the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, we have compiled a list of resources to continue the process of home learning.
We are prepared to transition from the classroom to the cloud. Our instructional staff have and will continue to develop their skills for providing instruction to our students within an online environment.
The safety of our students and staff is our priority. We will provide updates and resources in an effort to help families reduce the risk in their home and community.
As of July 28, 2019, a new state law removes the personal and philosophical option to exempt children from the MMR vaccine required for school and child care attendance. Medical and religious exemptions are not affected by this new law.
