What is WEB?

"WEB, which stands for “Where Everybody Belongs”, is a middle school/junior high orientation and transition program that welcomes 7th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle grades school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, the program trains mentors from the top class to be WEB Leaders. As positive role models, WEB Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide new students to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to Leota.

WEB Leader Resources

WEB Leader Applications for 2018-2019
 
1. WEB Leader Training, August 21st and 22nd from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
2. Monthly WEB Meetings.
3. Follow-up activities during the school year.

Here are some details about the WEB training:

-9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on August 21st and 22nd in the gym

-WEB leaders AND "A-Team" members are supposed to attend  (A-Team is our support team consisting of about 20 incoming seventh grade students; WEB leaders are all incoming eighth graders)

-Lunch is provided, though it is usually sandwiches or pizza.  Students with special dietary constraints should pack/bring their lunches.

-All students should bring labeled water bottles.

-Students should wear comfortable clothing, suitable for sitting on the gym floor and running around.

-WEB Leaders and A-Team members should be at school along with sixth graders on the first day, September 5th.

 
If you are unable to attend the trainings you cannot be a WEB leader for 2019-20120 school year. If you miss any of the trainings FOR ANY REASON you will no longer be a WEB leader.
